grecian bridal dresses Goddess alert:
We think Alicia Keys did it best this year when she got married on July 31, in the middle of the summer, to Swizz Beatz. Alicia wore a gorgeous asymmetric Grecian style wedding dress in delicious white chiffon, with her hair pulled back in a bun. Complete with a diamond tiara/headband and diamond encrusted sandals to match, she really did look like a Greek Goddess, although Alicia’s site indicates that her inspiration was more Egyptian, rather than Greek. The bling attaching a dramatic piece of fabric to the back shoulder of her dress to compliment the train was sufficient enough to replace the necklace, of which she wore none. Grecian Bridal Dresses

The Grecian cut is incredibly forgiving, since it is high waisted and allows plenty of breathing room around the stomach, hips and thighs. It’s also designed to look great on smaller bustlines. Layers of fabric add an attractive dimension to the skirt, and since many dresses of this cut reach right down to the floor, your legs get covered up, too. Considering Alicia is noticeably pregnant, the grecian wedding dress made her baby bump look almost like an accessory, don’t you think?
Although trends indicate that Grecian wedding dresses are in right now, we can’t really remember when they were actually “out”. This cut is great for weddings that are modern, at the beach, or outdoors on a warmer day.
